Before you begin....

If you are not using iTunes to download these podcasts, this process can be a little tricky. In fact, we highly recommend that you install iTunes on your computer now before you begin the download. It's free. Click here.

Once iTunes is installed, you can click here to begin the download.

If you do not want to download iTunes to download these podcasts, we hope the process goes well for you.

The problem is that there are so many different Windows operating systems and browsers and versions of Windows Media Player and QuickTime for Windows, it is impossible for us to tell you exactly the best way to download and save these podcasts to your computer.

We can tell you this….

  • 1. The amount of time it will take to download these podcasts depends entirely on your own Internet connection speed.

  • 2. Once you click on “download” on the next page, the only indication that the podcast is downloading may be a very small icon of a hard disk on the bottom left part of your screen (in the status bar just above the "Start" button), with a small red arrow that doesn't move. As long as that icon is there, the downloading is progressing well, so be patient. When the download is complete, the hard disk icon will disappear.

  • 3. Several different things can happen during the download or after it has completed downloading, depending on the browser and program you are using. The podcast may actually start playing as soon as the downloading begins. Or the podcast may start playing as soon as the download is complete. Either way, the podcast file probably has not have been saved to your computer yet.

  • 4. If you don't want to listen to the podcast at that moment, but want to save it to listen to some other time, you will need to figure out how to save it to your computer. Sometimes you need to right-click on the screen where the podcast is playing and choose “Save as” or “Save Media as” or “Save as Source.” (Do not hit “Stop” or "Pause" on the podcast player before you do this.) Choose where you want to save the podcast on your computer so that you can find it to listen to later.

Now you can see why it is so much easier to use iTunes for podcasts. iTunes downloads and saves in one step, and you know exactly where the podcast is to play whenever you're ready.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to help you if you have a problem downloading these podcasts to listen to later without using iTunes. If you have trouble, please choose some other option – listening to it now (streaming) or getting iTunes.

Let’s face it….Microsoft (Windows) is behind in its technology to handle podcasts compared to Apple (iTunes). The fatest, easiest, and most efficient way to download these podcasts is to download and use iTunes. (It’s free.) If you would like to do that, please click here.

Hopefully, sometime in the future the Windows technology for music and videos will catch up with the Mac, and we won't have to go through all this.
