My name is Steven and I've been HIV+ since 1994. Since that time I've taken no meds and my viral load has been on the low side, fluctuating between 3000-10000, and my tcells have fluctuated between 500-700. I'm writing to you in the hopes that it gives you inspiration. Recently, I went to the see the movie Rent with a friend of mine. If you are not aware, the story is about friends living in NYC, some of whom are positive. Needless to say, the movie was very emotional for me. Emotional because I was married to someone that was positive and needed to take meds and I saw what she went through. And emotional because I realized halfway through the movie that November 2005, is the 11th anniversary of my diagnosis. Back in 2001, when I told my father about my status, I told him that I wanted to go at least 10 years without meds. Well, I've surpassed that, and now I'm hoping to go 15 years without meds... Steven J. You can send me an email.
